Barcelona fans think Lionel Messi doesn't have faith in Antoine Griezmann

Barcelona fans think Lionel Messi doesn’t trust Antoine Griezmann, as the duo struggled to combine against Slavia Prague last night.

Barcelona struggled to bag 3 points against Slavia Prague even though the Catalans were expected to thrash the Czech team at their own den last night.

Considering the star-studded frontline of Lionel Messi, Ousmane Dembele and Antoine Griezmann was expected to be decisive in the last night match but Barcelona was prevented by the disciplined Slavia Prague.

Amidst all of this, it has been claimed that Barcelona captain Lionel Messi still doesn’t trust Griezmann, even after the latter spending more than 3 months in the club.

Many fans on social media noticed the activity trend between both the players, and it was discovered that there were rare instances in the match when both combined with each other.

In the first half of the match, Messi was seen making a scintillating run before making a shot on the post, if it had been converted, probably would have been a delight to watch.

However, some argue that the Argentine International conveniently ignored Griezmann while proceeding towards the goal, as the latter was standing clear during the run.

Thus, it is being alleged across the Barcelona fanbase that Messi is deliberately ignoring Griezmann and vice versa. In the last night’s match itself, Lionel Messi passed the ball to Giezmann only 4 times. Meanwhile, the French International passed him only once.

Adding further, the absence of Luis Suarez from last night match made the Argentine star miss his attack partner and the responsibility of filling the void went to Griezmann, which probably did not work out.

Further, Ernesto Valverde’s poor tactics can also be blamed for the lack of coordination between the two stars, as Griezmann is regularly being played out of position, as his preferred position is in the centre. Moreover, last night he was forced to be in the deep.
