Philippe Coutinho’s move to Barcelona is edging closer, as the Brazilian has agreed personal terms with Barcelona.
The Liverpool star has made it increasingly clear that he wishes to move to the Nou Camp this summer, with the possibility of linking up with Neymar and former Liverpool icon Luis Suarez a major draw for the Brazilian.
Coutinho has been identified by the Barcelona brass as someone who could fill Iniesta’s huge shoes. The legendary Spanish play maker is on the decline, as his imperious career is slowly but surely coming to a close.

Will Coutinho significantly improve the Barcelona midfield? Yes. He is certainly an upgrade on Andre Gomes and can easily better Ivan Rakitic in the middle of the park.
His considerable talent and ability also allows him the chance to one day take Iniesta’s place as the chief play maker of the side.
Barcelona are desperate to land Coutinho as soon as possible, as his arrival could be a last ditch effort to persuade Neymar to stay at the Nou Camp.
With each passing day, Neymar’s departure looks increasingly likely. PSG president has even publicly claimed that he is extremely confident in signing Neymar for PSG.
Barcelona realize that replacing Neymar would be near impossible, especially in the current transfer market.
While Countinho could play in Neymar’s position and become a high quality addition to the side, he will still need to play out of his skin to become as lethal as Barcelona’s current number 11.
Neymar and Countinho are close friends, and the allure of playing with his buddy could become a powerful factor for Neymar. But has it already become too late?
