The Serbian has been a hot property for various European heavyweights in this transfer market.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has been one of the most pivotal figures for Lazio in the last season. Savic appeared in 35 Serie A games for the club, scoring 12 goals. In 48 appearances over the season, he scored 15 goals. After his performances at the World Cup, he is been pursued by many top clubs across Europe.
However, reports from Italy indicate that Barcelona are now leading the race to sign the midfielder. Barcelona, according to La Repubblica, will be offering Rafinha as a part of the deal to land Savic at Camp Nou.

Rafinha had an injury-torn season on loan with Inter Milan last year, and the Italian club is yet to make the move permanent. But it now seems that Rafinha might be back to Serie A.
Lazio’s director Igli Tare has previously revealed that the club wanted to sign Rafina in 2015, but the deal failed due to Luis Enrique’s intervention, who was then the manager at Barcelona.
“It was all done, but unfortunately, Luis Enrique changed the plans,” Tare said.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are also eyeing Savic, and they are considering including Dani Cabellos in the deal to sign the Serbian midfielder. Juventus are also interested in signing the player, but they intend to clear their deadwood, and are not considering offering any player in the deal.
Barcelona may look to assist Lazio in offering Rafinha, as Inter Milan have failed to complete the move for Rafinha.
