400 million for Messi

Lionel Messi has been synonymous with Barcelona over the last decade, winning every possible trophy with the club and helping the club scale new heights. The day he decides to hang up his boots or move on from Barcelona, it would certainly be the end of one of the greatest chapters(if not the greatest chapter) in the history of Barcelona.

And right now it seems like a ‘Messi-free-Barcelona’ could be a huge possibility, with reports coming in about Messi not quite certain about signing a contract with Barcelona.

Barcelona will need to look for replacements, and quickly. While no player will able to immediately replace the little magician from Argentina, a process will need to be started in order to find the right successor.

Reports in the AS suggest that Messi could be lured into playing in the Premier League, as Manchester City are preparing a whopping €400 million for Messi. Pep Guardiola is ‘confident’ of getting him to Manchester City, as he believes Messi’s arrival will make City invincible, even in Europe.

However, Barcelona have already come out with an unofficial announcement about Messi reaching an agreement with the club, but strangely no announcement has been made yet.

Leo Messi will be free to listen to offers starting in January, as his contract runs out on June 30th, 2018.

If the Barcelona board doesn’t act quickly, we could be in for another huge money transfer from Barcelona to a foreign club. It is absolutely baffling as to how Barcelona have let things go so bad.

They need to sort things out and quickly because if Messi leaves as soon his contract runs out, we could be seeing a upsurge in the quality of the Premier League.

Cristiano Ronaldo to follow Messi to the Premier League then? Well, after Neymar’s transfer, expect the unexpected in the transfer window!
