Barcelona Vs Valencia: Twitter reactions on Barcelona shockingly losing Copa Del Rey final to Valencia

Barcelona Vs Valencia: Twitter reaction on Barcelona’s surprising defeat against Valencia in the final of Copa Del Rey.

Valencia have ended four years of dominance by Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey, as the Catalan giants faced a 2-1 defeat to the Bats in the tournament final.

The defeat came out as a shock to everyone as Barcelona were dominated by Valencia throughout the match. The Blaugrana giant seemed off-track and were massively being controlled by Valencia’s midfield.

Later, Kevin Gameiro found the net in the 22nd minute of the game to score the opening goal. Few minutes later, Rodrigo doubled the lead and concreted the chances of Valencia to lift the silverware.

However, Barcelona were in no mood to end the game as the Catalan club tried harder in the second half but failed to finish their chances.

Lionel Messi was near to reduce the deficit as he was about to score a wonder-goal but missed the target. Although, the little magician soon found the net in the 73rd minute as Messi tapped in the loose ball after Domenech’s save from Clement Lenglet’s header.

It gave a little hope to Barcelona, who gained some momentum and tried to draw the score. However, a disciplined defending by Valencia thwarted Barcelona to level with Los Ches.

Therefore, in the end, Barcelona’s four successive Copa Del Rey victories came to an end as Valencia are now crowned as the new Spanish Cup tournament’s champions.

Barcelona fan on social media are upset with the defeat and majorly wants Ernesto Valverde out of the club as his tactical incompetence made Barcelona lose crucial matches at the end of the season, despite being at the forefront across all the tournaments for most part of the season.
