The Adelaide Strikers continued their unbeaten run in the Big Bash League this season with an 18 run victory over hosts Melbourne Renegades. The star of the match was Rashid Khan, who bowled a miserly spell of 15 runs of 4 overs and picked 2 wickets as well.

Renegades, the defending Champions, lost yet another match as their woeful run in the BBL continued. The Marvel has not produced a belter this season so far and it was expected that the bowlers would make a difference and, in the end, that’s exactly what happened.
Rashid Khan had a perfect night and starred with both the bat and ball. However, the incident involving him that one will probably remember for a long time would be one involving him and umpire Greg Davidson.

In the 17th over of the match, Rashid Khan bowled one straight into Beau Webster’s pads. Khan immediately appealed and umpire Greg Davidson appeared to raise his finger before he reached for his nose and hilariously scratched it instead.

Cameron White, who was mic’d on at the time, was asked what he thought of what happened on the field. White replied: “That’s the right decision if he changed it. That’s what we want. Thanks, the right outcome”
The Renegades ended their pursuit of 156 by ending with 137/8. They looked primed to chase down the target at one stage. However, following the dismissal of Finch with the score at 88/3, the side then collapsed to 100/6. Webster tried to architect a comeback but it was too little too late for him in the end.
