TCG decks in Genshin Impact

TCG in Genshin Impact has become more popular with the version 3.7 update which has added major updates to the cards’ roster as well as introduced several events based on the card game. Players might find themselves confused while trying to set a deck, whether in PvP or NPC duels.

TCG or Trading Card Game has gained fast popularity after its introduction in v3.3. The game has recently introduced several new cards- both for characters and actions. Furthermore, two new game modes have also been added to the feature.

As a general rule, TCG decks have three character cards and 30 action cards. Beginners often find it challenging to determine which cards they should acquire. This confusion arises due to the limited option of inviting characters to obtain their cards at lower levels. Dive into the next section to take a look at some of the best TCG decks in Genshin Impact after v3.7.

Best TCG decks you can use in Genshin Impact

The best TCG deck to use can vary according to the opponent’s deck in the match. For instance, some opponents like Rifthounds might need a Shield team for better chances of winning. However, there are a few tried and tested decks that will be beneficial to both beginners and advanced players alike.

These decks focus on disrupting the opponents’ strategy, no matter how they have planned out their game. Some might heavily rely on the Action Cards, but most of them are mainly courtesy of proper Character Card combinations to balance the offense. Let’s take a look at some notable decks.

Liyue Permafreeze Deck

Permafreeze teams are as common in TCG as they are in the Meta. It is no doubt Ayaka is one of the best offensive cards with her Cryo attacks. The deck relies on Xingqiu to apply Hydro and Ayaka using her Cryo-infused attacks to keep the opponents Frozen. Chongyun can serve as extra Cryo support if Ayaka has low HP.

This deck heavily relies on the constant availability of dice, so it’s good to have the right Action Cards. The dice-rolling phase becomes comparatively easy as there are only two elements. Another Permafreeze deck version that is popular includes Ganyu and Mona with Ayaka.

The Action Cards one could choose for this deck are:

  • Stone and Contract
  • 2 x Leave it to me
  • 2 x Liyue Harbor Wharf
  • Dawn Winery
  • 2 x Bestest Travel Companion
  • 2 x Vanarana
  • 2 x Chinju Forest
  • 2 x Strategize
  • 2 x Changing Shifts
  • 2 x Timmie
  • 2 x Liu Su
  • Minty Meat Rolls
  • Liben
  • I Haven’t Lost Yet!
  • 2 x Elemental Resonance: Shattering Ice
  • 2 x Elemental Resonance: Woven Ice
  • Jade Chamber
  • 2 x Kanten Senmyou Blessing

Raiden Elemental Burst Deck

This deck will focus on utilizing Raiden’s Elemental Burst and switching characters to deal maximum damage through bursts. The Action Cards should focus on generating energy as quickly as possible, for a combination of Elemental damage and rarely procuring reactions too. Also, Tartaglia is an amazing Character Card as his Elemental Burst in the Melee mode can practically one-shot opponent cards with medium HP.

Pick the following Action Cards for this deck:

  • Exile’s Circlet
  • Ornate Kabuto
  • Emblem of Severed Fate
  • 2 x Bestest Travel Companion
  • 2 x Iron Tongue Tian
  • 2 x Liu Su
  • 2 x Bestest Travel Companion
  • Liben
  • I Haven’t Lost Yet!
  • 2 x Calx’s Arts
  • Raven Bow
  • 2 x Timmie
  • 2 x Sweet Madame
  • 2 x Strategize
  • 2 x Changing Shifts
  • 2 x Elemental Resonance: High Voltage
  • 2 x Elemental Resonance: Woven Thunder
  • 2 x Thunder and Eternity

Ganyu Superconduct Deck

Ganyu Superconduct decks essentially have Ganyu and Fischl, along with a third Cryo/ Electro character. Shenhe is a good option for the third slot. Oz summon affects the enemies with Electro while Cryo characters deal Cryo Superconduct reaction damage.

The best picks for this deck are:

  • Raven Bow
  • 2 x Jade Chamber
  • 2 x Liu Su
  • 2 x Bestest Travel Companion
  • 2 x Stone and Contract
  • 2 x Elemental Resonance: Shattering Ice
  • 2 x Elemental Resonance: Woven Ice
  • 2 x Leave it to me
  • 2 x Strategize
  • 2 x Changing Shifts
  • 2 x Calx’s Arts
  • 2 x When the Crane Returned
  • Liyue Harbour Wharf
  • 2 x Timmie
  • 2 x Paimon
  • 2 x I haven’t lost yet

Yoimiya Ayaka OTK Deck in Genshin Impact

(Image via HoYoverse)

The Yoimiya one-turn kill deck is probably the most popular deck among beginners. This deck is easy to understand and deals amazing damage on every turn, provided the players have enough dice. Yoimiya’s card is broken in Genshin Impact TCG, as she can deal extra damage for two rounds for every other character’s Skill usage, for 2 whole rounds.

The Ayaka can deal melt damage constantly after Yoimiya’s burst, which costs just 2 energy points. The Action Card of Minty Meat Rolls is the best bet to use right before you use your Ayaka spam. The Fatui Pyro Agent is basically a tanker that can also deal good damage when needed, with its low burst energy cost.

Action cards for this deck are:

  • Heavy Strike
  • 2 x Minty Meat Rolls
  • 2 x Liben
  • 2 x I haven’t lost yet
  • 2 x Strategize
  • 2 x Bestest Travel Companion
  • 2 x NRE
  • 2 x Parametric Transformer
  • 2 x Elemental Resonance: Woven Flames
  • 2 x Gambler’s Earrings
  • 2 x Starsigns
  • Send Off
  • 2 x When the Crane Returned
  • 2 x Northern Smoked Chicken
  • 2 x Paimon
  • 2 x Leave it to me

Although several other great deck combinations exist, these are the best ones that many players have found useful in Co-Op battles. Furthermore, some of these decks or similar ones have also been seen during the Astra Carnival TCG matches that HoYoverse has been hosting.
