Roman Reigns is the prime candidate to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship in a match which will probably main event WrestleMania 34 at New Orleans. But, according to sources, there may be a twist in the tale, because of multiple reasons which can cancel the main event.

Although Reigns won the Elimination Chamber match and therefore the right to challenge ‘ The Beast Incarnate’ for his WWE Universal championship at WrestleMania, it was Strowman who dominated the entire match, kicking out of finishers and even attacking Reigns after the match was over.
According to multiple sources, WWE does not want a rerun of several pay per views main evented by Roman Reigns. A vicious booing is sure to follow Reigns winning the Universal Championship, and WWE wants to avoid that.
According to sources, the match could me turned into a Triple Threat encounter. Even if WWE allows Reigns to win the match, Strowman attacking Reigns after the win will be a source of cheers from the audience.
Roman Reigns being in the main event of WrestleMania is not yet a certainty. Jon Bravo and drug dealer Ricardo Rodriguez have named Reigns multiple times as a regular customer. Reigns has already been suspended due to wellness policy violations before. If the charges against Reigns are somehow proved, it’ll be a bug headache for Vince. So, they may keep Reigns out of the title scene at Mania and Strowman may take his place.
Moreover, Brock Lesnar probably no showed the last Raw event. He was also seen clicking pictures witb UFC president Dana White, which means that a return to UFC is imminent.
Now, it may be also turn out to be a rerun of Brock’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship reign, and Brock may no show WrestleMania 34. This will lead to be an entirely fresh match for the Universal Championship, and there’s no one better than Strowman to fill that role.
