India vs Australia 1st T20

With the ODI series being really one-sided, Australia would be itching to get out there in Ranchi for the first T20 and maybe just try and hit their way out of trouble. Australia haven’t really enjoyed the best of times in limited overs cricket(especially in the subcontinent) and would be hopeful that this T20 sparks a revival for the Aussie side(at least in the limited overs format).

The Ranchi crowd would be boisterous as they would welcome home their hero, MS Dhoni, for this game and would be hoping for Mahi special.

India welcome back the old warhorse Ashish Nehra into their squad but it would be interesting to see if he gets a game, especially when the duo of Bhuvi and Bumrah has been doing so well in the limited overs format.

India look like a very settled unit and would be hoping to extend their domination over the Aussies.

But the weather is a concern for both teams, as the forecast for tomorrow isn’t very pretty, as rains are sure to lash the city of Ranchi all through the morning and the afternoon.

Ranchi presently doesn’t boast of the best drainage in the country and thus we could be in for a shortened game.

The Indian team were forced to cancel their practice session, as heavy downpour did not even allow them to leave their hotel rooms.

Australia on the other hand enjoyed a fruitful training session in the afternoon and would be hoping to get their team combination right for the 1st T20.

A JSCA official though was very positive about getting a full game in tomorrow.

“Such passing showers are normal this time. But the good thing is rain comes and goes and is not prolonged this time of the year. We have adequate measures to prepare the ground for the match,” the official said.

The match begins at 7 pm tomorrow and will take place at the JSCA International Stadium Complex.
