Brock Lesnar: Real Reason why the Beast Cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Seth Rollins this Sunday at Extreme Rules.
WWE Extreme Rules is done and dusted and will go down as one of the best pay per views of 2019. The event had brilliant matches from top to bottom. However, just like money in the bank a couple of months before it, this one too was undone by it’s ending.

Speaking of Money in the Bank, the unlikely winner then also played a part this Sunday in getting a collective sigh out of the fans, both in the Arena and at home. After Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch defeated Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans, you’d have been forgiven for believing that the show was over. Brock Lesnar though, had other ideas.
The Beast walked out and hit Rollins with two German suplexes. He then cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase and ended the match with a swift F5 and with that Lesnar walked out of the Wells Fargo centre once again the Universal Champion.
Raw thin on stars
Wrestling Journalist Tom Colohue has revealed that the reason behind the cash in is that WWE have realised how thin they are at the top. So, they had Lesnar cash in to give Rollins a credible opponent for SummerSlam.
Per the same #WWE source that told me Lesnar was cashing in to give Rollins an opponent for Summerslam:
"This wasn't the plan until recently, when it was clear how thin #Raw was on top. Seth needs Lesnar."

While the reason makes sense considering SummerSlam is their second biggest show of the year. The blame for that lies entirely on WWE. Their inability to create stars by going all the way with them is the reason why they have to keep going back to the big names of the past. The WWE will find themselves in a dire situation if they don’t remedy this soon. They have the talent in Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Kevin Owens and a lot more. They just have to show their faith in them and throw them to the deep end.
