Brock Lesnar: Real Reason Why The Beast Won Money in the Bank

Brock Lesnar: Real Reason Why The Beast Won Money in the Bank contract in the main event of the Pay Per View.

It’s been 4 days and people are still upset over Brock Lesnar’s shock victory at Money in the Bank. The 7 men in the ring put on a ladder match clinic. They selflessly threw their bodies around and put on quite a show. However, all their good work was undone after Lesnar ran in to unclip the briefcase for himself. That he didn’t take a single bump was salt to wounds; something that the other wrestlers literally suffered in that match.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer has reported that this was done to add shock value to the event.

“The feeling was that the Lesnar surprise would help ratings based on curiosity the next night, which it did” Meltzer reported.

A report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reads:

“It was all about a momentary pop and surprise, as well as two weeks of television ratings. The feeling was that the Lesnar surprise would help ratings based on curiosity the next night, which it did.”

To be fair to Vince, the ratings did pick up. By adding Kofi to the mix, WWE has also added a sense of excitement over the briefcase. A year back it would have been impossible to imagine Brock working Tuesdays. However, with the move to Fox this fall, the possibility of him cashing in on Kofi is very real.

On this week’s episode of Raw, Paul Heyman revealed that Brock Lesnar will decide when and on whom will he cash in his contract by the next episode of Raw.

There are rumors that Lesnar may cash in on Rollins on Super Showdown. The beast has been advertised to be on the show but he is currently uninvolved in any match. The rumor may very well be true. For now, we can only wait and watch.

Like most combat sports enthusiasts, his passion for watching people fight began with WWE when he witnessed a young Brock Lesnar massacre Hulk Hogan back in 2002. This very passion soon branched out to boxing and mixed martial arts. Over the years he fell in love with the theatrics that preceded the bell and the poetic carnage that followed after. Each bruise a story to tell, each wound a song of struggle, his greatest desire is to be there to witness it all. His favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels and he believes that GSP is the greatest to ever step foot inside the octagon. Apart from wrestling, he is also fond of poetry and music.
