Barcelona’s pursuit of signing Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho finally came to an end, as the Spanish club signed the Brazilian from the Merseyside club. Barcelona knew that the Brazilian was recovering from a small injury, which would keep him three weeks away from making a debut for the Catalan club.
Since his move, the Brazilian appeared in the training ground for the first time where he trained alongside his new teammates. Coutinho’s first appearance for the club edged closer, as the Brazilian trained after recovering from the injury.

Barcelona’s twitter account had actively posted photos which showed the likes of Lionel Messi and Gerard Pique welcoming the Brazilian into the team as he returned back to training.
Earlier, Barcelona had announced that the Brazilian would be out for 20 days and advertising campaigns have begun showcasing when the Brazilian would put on the Blaugrana jersey for the first time.
Barcelona’s campaign for Coutinho:
The Brazil international is the face of the publicity campaign for the game, which will take place on Jan. 28 at Camp Nou (kick off at 20.45h). “The spectacle has a prize: come, and you could win a signed Coutinho shirt,” Barca said.
The game is exactly after the 20-day recovery period for the Brazilian, with Coutinho being a record signing for the club. The former Inter and Liverpool midfielder displaced the other newbie Ousmane Dembele as the club’s record signing.
Since signing for the club, Dembele has gone through a couple of injuries which has kept him out of the action for four months. The latest of the injuries that has ruled the French star out of action is a hamstring problem.
While Dembele is out of action for the Catalan club, Coutinho is all set to make his debut for his new club as Barcelona take on Deportivo Alaves in the league.
