Chelsea Transfer News: Blues ready to pay loan fee to sign Barcelona failed star

Chelsea Transfer News: Blues ready to make a move of Barcelona flop Philippe Coutinho on loan and are ready to pay the fee asked.

Barcelona‘s Philippe Coutinho failed to make a mark in Spain except in his initial days with the Catalans, but considering he didn’t manage to give the output required.

The Spanish giants sent him on loan to Bayern Munich, over where he spent his last season until the Coronavirus threat halted the campaign.

Now with his loan time with the Germans coming to an end and Barcelona looking ahead to accommodate him to his suitable position, they are looking ahead to loan him once again.

According to a report by the Sport, Chelsea is ready to sign Coutinho on loan from Barcelona and are ready to pay the required fee of £13 million to secure his temporary service.

Moreover, the Blues are also ready to cover his wages, which are around £250,000-a-week. Therefore, Barcelona might not think twice to send him to Chelsea as Bayern Munich is not interested in keeping him with them.

He has scored eight goals and registered six assists in the Bundesliga, but Bayern boss Hans-Dieter Flick has opted to play Thomas Muller ahead of him in the big games this season.

On the other hand, Frank Lampard is looking to bolster his attacking options this summer and has already signed Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech for £33m, a deal which will be made official on July 1.

Coutinho, who is able to play out wide or as an attacking midfielder, would only add more firepower to Chelsea’s frontline. The London based club has been marred with injuries this season.

Which has constantly kept his options limited, thus Coutinho will probably add more depth and competition in the midfield. But before this move happens, the season needs to see an end first.
