Chelsea Transfers News : The Premier League side is gradually positioning itself to make a bid for the player
With Fikayo Tomori looking set to depart the land of Chelsea after seeing his minutes at the club being drastically work the scissors on by Frank Lampard, the club are bound to bring in a new name.

And reports emerging from France across the last couple of days have been rife of the side’s interest in a Ligue 1 defender. After Le 10 Sport had earlier spoken about the club’s interest in 20 year old Mohamed Simakan from Strasbourg, L’Epique and Sport Witness have both asserted that the Premier League side is indeed interested in the player.
L’Equipe has stated Frank Lampard’s side have “positioned themselves” for the signing recently, but they are in “no rush” to complete a deal. Chelsea are not the only club interested in a deal though with Italy’s AC Milan also said to be admirers of the CB.
The Serie A side has already tabled an offer for the player with the club offering 12 million plus 2 million euros in bonuses. Strasbourg is said to be holding out for 15 million euros though with the player in dire need of balancing its cooks.
The player currently has a contract till 2023 at Strasbourg for whom he’s partaken in all 17 league matches this season. All of Nice, Wolverhampton and Everton are all said to be keeping an eye out for the wonderkid as well with the player emerging as the talk of the town owing to his ability to close the ball and do the dirty work.
Lampard was meanwhile coy when recently asked about his side’s aspirations in the upcoming January transfer window with him refusing to commit on anything. The club had only recently ended up breaking the bank and shelling out a gargantuan 222 million pounds on the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Edouard Mendy and Hakim Ziyech.
