It is also reported that Suarez will be paid a total of €150m over the course of three years, which amounts up to £839,000/week. A wage which will make Luis Suarez the highest-paid footballer on the planet.
Luis Suarez moved to Barcelona from Liverpool in 2014, and has become one of the best strikers in the world since joining the club. He has scored 152 goals in 194 appearances for the club, also rallying an incredible 84 assists to his name.
Apart from the Chinese club, there are also reports of Premier League clubs, Manchester City and Liverpool’s interest in the striker.
Even when Suarez has turned out to be one of the best value-for-money signings for Barca, it might be irresistible to turn down an offer like that. Suarez is 31, which adds to the significance of such a massive bid.
The Barcelona striker is currently representing Uruguay in the World Cup, and scored his first goal of this year’s tournament against Saudi Arabia. Uruguay has already qualified for the round-of-16 of the World Cup, and will play for the first place in Group A against host nation Russia.
