Complete List of Unsold Players in IPL 2019 Auction

Complete List of Unsold Players in IPL 2019 Auction: Sportsrush presents before you the full list of unsold players in IPL 2019 Auction.

While there are plentiful of eyeballs looking at players who have attracted opulent bids in the recently concluded auction for the 12th season of the IPL (Indian Premier League), one can’t ignore the other side of the auction, i.e., the players who have remained unsold.

As surprising as it sounds, there are numerous high-profile names which failed to attract a bid during the auction at Jaipur yesterday. In a tournament like IPL, one can’t really question the potential of an unsold player for what a particular player offers sometimes doesn’t fit well with what franchises are looking forward to.

It can be questionable as to how players who have proved their mettle at the highest level fail to find a buyer while some teenagers end up alluring hefty amount of money. But then, it is the nature of the tournament, something you can’t really help.

Among the major overseas names who remained unsold were former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, England all-rounder Chris Woakes, Australia batsman Shaun Marsh, former Sri Lanka captain and current all-rounder Angelo Mathews, England opening batsman Alex Hales, South Africa opening batsman Hashim Amla and speedster Dale Steyn.

Hard-hitting batsmen in McCullum and Hales, an all-rounder like Woakes and experienced campaigners like Amla and Steyn not featuring in the cash-rich tournament will surely be a concern for their fans.

Among the notable Indian names are wicket-keeper batsman Naman Ojha, batsmen like Cheteshwar Pujara, Manoj Tiwary and Saurabh Tiwary, all-rounder in Parvez Rasool and fast bowlers in Abhimanyu Mithun and R Vinay Kumar.

Uncapped consistent domestic performers in Baba Aparajith, Kedar Devdhar, Ankit Bawne, Armaan Jaffer, Sheldon Jackson, Rajneesh Gurbani, Chama Milind and other also went unsold.
