There’s always more to someone than meets the eye. This is true even in the case of the frankest & most open personas. So, it is especially true in case of one of the most mysterious men on the Internet today. Let’s face it! Corpse Husband, when you watch him on stream, comes across as a perfectly healthy person. However, as sources have revealed & he too has suggested, that isn’t the case. The brave soul, who entertains thousands daily while trying to keep his identity a secret, is also the unfortunate victim of a variety of rare medical conditions. And, to make things worse, some of these are chronic illnesses.
Corpse Husband: A rough start.
We’ll try to keep things as simple as possible in this article while listing his complications. First of all, Corpse Husband’s health issues are not a new thing of today. He has had issues in the past as well, some of which have been cured. His mother had cancer when he was young and that had a major impact on him as well, both physically & mentally. So, life hasn’t been easy for the Youtuber from San Diego.
Corpse Husband Illness: Photophobia & Anxiety.
To begin the list, we have Photophobia. Photophobia is an extreme sensitivity to light of all forms, natural & artificial. This mainly affects the eyes & makes strong light almost unbearable. When a person suffers from Photophobia, Light turns their eyes red, causes headache and sometimes even migraine. Corpse Husband has suffered a great deal due to this rare condition. In fact, it is one of the reasons that he doesn’t leave his house & had to wear an eye-patch for months at a stretch!
Speaking of problems leaving the house, yet another reason behind this is Corpse Husband ‘s anxiety issues. He frequently suffers from anxiety attacks & has trouble communicating with people on a regular basis. Corpse feels that he often “comes off as sketchy” & fails to talk to people normally. Corpse Husband Illness: The reason Corpse Husband has a heavy voice.
Apart from these, Corpse also suffers from Fibromyalgia, an incurable condition. It causes widespread muscle pain throughout the body, even in response to mild pressure. It also messes up one’s appetite & sleep cycle and can make you feel tired the whole time. These are all symptoms to which Corpse has confessed at some point or the other on Twitter & in his streams.
Fibromyalgia is also the reason behind Corpse’s heavy voice. Recent scientific research has proved that it tends to alter voice & mess with vocal cords, lowering one’s voice intensity. And, as we know from experience, Corpse’s voice is a heavy baritone and thus, very low on the scale of intensity. In fact, Fibromyalgia almost made him lose his voice a few years ago. Corpse feels it’s a blessing that he’s even able to speak, in the first place.
The GERD Problem.
To wind up the list, Corpse also suffers from GERD, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, a curable but painful condition of the stomach. In the case of people with GERD, stomach acid, which helps digest our food, has a tendency to rise up into the food pipe. As our food pipe doesn’t have a protective lining like the stomach, the stomach acid can cause major irritation to it. Thus, the person suffering, in this case, Corpse Husband, faces a whole lot of discomfort.

It’s amazing how much a person could be dealing with in their lives while putting up a straight face. Corpse Husband’s medical history is a major testament to the strength of his character. The fact that he manages to wow us every day while suffering from so much within, is quite astonishing. It is also worthy of admiration & the utmost respect.
