An all new season of the prestigious County cricket is all set to commence with all the 18 counties in readiness to take the field from tomorrow.
After being divided into three groups of six each, these 18 teams will play 10 matches (five home and five away) with the remaining teams of their group in the first round.
In what is a novel and an intriguing change to the format, the second round will see top two teams from each group enter Division One. Similarly, the third and fourth-ranked team from each group will enter Division Two and the bottom two teams from each group will enter Division Three.

In the second round, teams will play each team of their division excluding the one from their previous group. Therefore, after another four matches in the second round, the winner of County Championship and the finalists of the Bob Willis Trophy will be decided this year.

Be it India or England, County Championship 2021 won’t be available for viewing on television channels. Having said that, there are several options which fans can follow in order to stream the matches throughout the season.
Online users can stream the match on ecb.co.uk. Below the login option (on the left side of the screen) on the homepage, fans will have to click on “Matches” and then “Follow Live” (under the County section).
The next page will encompass of links to all the matches as each of the 18 counties will be streaming the matches across their social media platforms. In addition to exploring the various social media platforms (including YouTube channels), fans can also watch the matches on England Cricket app.
English fans can also switch to BBC as commentaries of all the matches will be available after a new multi-year deal between BBC and ECB (England Cricket Board).
As far as fans in India are concerned, social media handles are most likely to be their go-to options as there might be a chance of live matches not getting streamed in India. Considering how active Twitter accounts of counties are, Indian fans are likely to find match highlights over there.
