CSK New Jersey 2021: The second-most successful Indian Premier League franchise has done a few changes to their jersey.

Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings made the most of the auction for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League by spending a total of INR 17.35 crore on six players.

Super Kings, who were expected to buy an all-rounder, bid extensively for not just one but two of them buying Krishnappa Gowtham and Moeen Ali for INR 9.25 and 7 crore respectively.

Apart from these two players being their most expensive buys, Super Kings also acquired the services of players such as Cheteshwar Pujara (INR 50 lakh), K Bhagath Varma (INR 20 lakh), C Hari Nishaanth (INR 20 lakh), M Harisankar Reddy (INR 20 lakh).

CSK, who have lifted the IPL trophy as many as three times, have made a few changes to their jersey ahead of IPL 2021. While the main part of their jersey remains the same, they have inserted camouflage designs on both the shoulders in addition to a change in title sponsor.

The development was made public in the form of a video which has been uploaded across the social media handles of the franchise. It is worth mentioning that Dhoni himself unveils the jersey in the 28-second video.

Super Kings, who had failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in 13 seasons last year, will lock horns against Delhi Capitals in their IPL 2021 season opener in Mumbai on April 10. After playing their first five IPL 2021 matches in Mumbai, CSK will move to Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata for the remaining nine matches of the league stage.
