CSK Win Images of Dhoni and Jadeja: Best Twitter Reactions On CSK Winning IPL 2023

Chennai Super Kings have defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets to win the final match of the recently concluded 16th season of the Indian Premier League. Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni‘s (0) third title win across six seasons means that CSK have now equaled Mumbai Indians in terms of winning five IPL trophies.

With weather playing spoilsport right after the start of the second innings on the reserve day, an approximate two-hour delay changed the equation for the visiting team. Needing to seal a 171-run chase in 15 overs, Super Kings thrived primarily because of a 39-ball 74-run opening partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad (26) and Devon Conway (47).

Needing to maintain a required run rate of more than 11, they were bound to lose wickets in order to maintain it. With the same happening in the middle overs, it wasn’t the most smoothest of tasks for Chennai tonight.

However, former captain Ravindra Jadeja (1/38 & 15*) emerged as a hero for the umpteenth time this season. Hitting a six and a four on the last two balls of the match, the southpaw stood tall on his potential especially when all-rounder Shivam Dube (32*) wasn’t able to time his big shots to perfection.

Apart from Jadeja and Dube, senior batter Ajinkya Rahane (27) and Ambati Rayudu (19) also chipped in with impact-generating cameos to register a victory in the latter’s last IPL match at the Narendra Modi Stadium on a which was originally scheduled to begin on Sunday but ended up on a Tuesday.

What this victory has also done is brought Rayudu and MI captain Rohit Sharma at the same level as far as being part of most IPL-winning squads are concerned. While Rayudu has won three titles each with Indians and Super Kings, Sharma has won all his six titles for Indians.
