David Warner last 10 innings in Test cricket: David Warner last 10 Test innings list

Australian opener David Warner’s vows in test cricket continued in the first test between Australia and South Africa at the Gabba in Brisbane. The Australian bowlers did their job to restrict South Africa to a small total, but the Aussie batters could not start strong in Brisbane.

Pat Cummins asked the South Africans to bat, and the bowlers of the Australian side did their job and restricted South Africa for just 152 runs. Apart from Kyle Verreynne, the rest of the batters failed for the Proteas. Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon took 3 wickets each.

Kagiso Rabada took the wicket of Warner on the very first ball of the innings. It was back of a length delivery, and because of the extra bounce, Warner defended it awkwardly, and Zondo completed an incredible catch at the short leg. It was a stunning catch, and Zondo deserves all the credit.

David Warner is certainly struggling to score runs in the test format of the game. In the last 10 innings, he has played in Test cricket, he has just scored 169 runs at an average of 18.77 with no half-century under his belt. Following his struggles in Sri Lanka, he has continued to struggle at home as well.

There have been a lot of calls about Warner retiring from the test format of the game, but he has already confirmed that he is looking to play the next Ashes in England next summer. Usman Khawaja also said that Warner is doing very well in nets, and he is not looking to retire from Test cricket.

With all being said, Warner is a champion player, but he is not able to keep up his performance. With more players doing well in Shield cricket, the southpaw should improve upon his performances in order to seal his place in the side. Although, it has to be said that he has slightly unlucky sometimes.
