Delhi Capitals memes: Twitterati remember 'Delhi Daredevils' after DC's batting collapse vs Mumbai Indians

Delhi Capitals memes: Delhi Capitals sort of lost the IPL 2020 Qualifier 1 in the first two overs of their innings against Mumbai Indians.

During the first qualifier of the ongoing 13th season of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals in Dubai, Mumbai Indians new-ball bowlers in Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah ran through Delhi Capitals’ batting order to leave them in tatters.

Chasing a 201-run target, Delhi lost as many as three wickets without adding a run to their tally. Boult, who bowled the first over, cashed in on the lean patch of Prithvi Shaw (0) as the batsman edged the ball behind the wicket to Quinton de Kock.

Ajinkya Rahane (0), who had scored a half-century in the previous match, received a peach of a delivery in the same over as he was found wanting in front of the stumps.

Delhi’s best batsman this year in Shikhar Dhawan (0) also failed to get off the mark after receiving an absolute jaffa of a delivery from Bumrah. In his next over, Bumrah sent back Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer (12) to reduce the opposition to 20/4 in the fourth over.

While Capitals all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is trying hard to put together a fight, the target is such that it will require a career-best innings from the Australian player.

After Iyer won the toss and chose to field, Mumbai thrived on the back of a 60-run partnership between Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya to post 200/5 in 20 overs. With bowling figures of 4-0-29-3, DC spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of their bowlers.
