Gujarat Giants owner: Womens Gujarat Giants IPL owner 2023

Gujarat Giants Women will be playing against Mumbai Indians Women in the opening game of the Women’s Premier League 2023. The Gujarat Giants is the costliest team in the league. Adani Sportsline bought the franchise for a price of INR 1289 crore in the bidding process.

Gujarat Giants did a fairly decent job in the player’s auction as well. Australia batter Beth Mooney, who played a big part in Australia’s T20 World Cup final win against South Africa is the captain of the side. They also bought the Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner for a price of INR 3.4 crores.

Indian all-rounder Sneh Rana is the vice-captain of the side. The team’s strategy was clear on the table that they will go after the all-rounders, and they were successful in their attempt as well. Apart from Rana and Gardner, Harleen Deol and Annabel Sutherland are the other main all-rounders of the side.

Adani Sportsline was launched in 2019, and it is the sporting hand of the Adani Group. Gujarat Giants WPL team is not the only team owned by the company, they also have teams in Pro Kabaddi League, Ultimate Kho Kho League and Big Bout Boxing League with the same name. Adani Sportsline tried to buy a team in the IPL 2022 as well, but they were unsuccessful.

Gulf Giants won the recent ILT20 tournament, and it was also owned by Adani Sportsline only. Apart from teams in various leagues, there are multiple academies across the country that are run by the company for different sports. It is to note that children below 5 years get free training as well.

Gujarat Giants WPL 2023 coaching team

Former Australian batter Rachael Haynes is the head coach of the side, whereas Tushar Arothe and Gavan Twinning are the batting coach and fielding coach of the side, respectively. The franchise appointed former Indian batter Mithali Raj as the mentor of the side.
