India all-rounder Hardik Pandya shares a brotherly bond with former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard. Both of them played together for several years at Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League. Pandya once revealed how Pollard played a prank on him when he visited the Caribbean nation with the Indian team.

Talking to Gaurav Kapoor on the show ‘Breakfast with Champions’, Pandya said that he was quite chill on the tour as he knew that Pollard won’t let anything happen to him. Pandya insisted that he was roaming there like he was in India only and even Pollard was a little surprised about this.
Pollard then decided to pull Pandya’s leg and he called one of his friends to threaten the current Gujarat Titans captain. Pandya thought that it was a joke but things turned a little serious in between. However, in the end, he figured out what exactly was going on.

Pollard’s friend came like a policeman to arrest Pandya. Pandya claimed that he was quite calm because he did nothing wrong. Even Pollard did not try to interfere as it was his prank only. Later on, Pandya noticed that the police guy was holding his phone upside down and he finally was sure that he whole scenario was a hoax.
“Pollard decided to pull my leg. He called a police officer, who was actually his friend, who tried to arrest me. I knew it was a prank but at one point, things got a little serious,” Pandya had said on the show.
“I figured out it was a prank when I saw the police officer try to call someone while holding the phone upside down with the speaker at the other end.”
Pandya calls Pollard “Brother from another mother” and he met everyone from Pollard’s family on his visit. Pandya even shared a picture with Polly’s wife and child on social media platform Instagram.

Pandya joined Mumbai Indians in 2015, whereas Pollard had been an important part of the side since 2010. Both of them were integral parts of Mumbai’s squad which won four championships between 2015-2020.
While Pandya led Gujarat to an IPL title in their maiden season last year, Pollard is the batting coach of Mumbai. Pollard’s association with the franchise is not just restricted to the IPL, but he also represented MI Cape Town in ILT20.
When Pollard announced his retirement from international cricket, Pandya even wrote a heartfelt message for the big all-rounder. Pollard often refers Pandya as a ‘Superstar’.
