India vs England Chennai tickets: The SportsRush present before you full ticketing details for the first IND vs ENG Test.

The first Test of the forthcoming England’s tour of India will begin from February 5 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

It is worth mentioning that Chennai will be hosting a Test match for the first time after more than four years. The last time this venue hosted a Test was in 2016 when batsman Karun Nair had scored a splendid triple century.

England, who had last won a Test match in Chennai in 1985, have lost all their three matches since then. In nine Tests against India in Chennai, England have won three as compared to India’s five victories.

Despite coming on the back of a 2-0 whitewash against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, England would be more than vary of the Indians both because of their recent form and a stellar record at home.

Another major reason why the four-match series will be closely by the cricketing fraternity across the globe is its potential impact on the points table of the inaugural ICC World Test Championship.

As far as the tickets for the first Test between India and England are concerned, there is no such available option for fans as the match will be played behind closed doors as a “preventive measure” keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic.

With this match being the first international match played in India after more than a year, administrators were unlikely to take a risk regarding inviting spectators even with a restricted capacity.

It is worth mentioning that the second Test match between India and England will also be played behind closed doors at the same venue.

Having said that, there might be a possibility fans getting an entry into the stadium for the third Test in Ahmedabad. Scheduled to be a day-night fixture from February 24, the match will be the first one to be played at the recently renovated Motera Stadium.
