IPL 2020 schedule time-table: The 13th season of the Indian Premier League will begin from September 19 in Abu Dhabi.

The IPL Governing Council has finally announced the schedule for the 13th season of the Indian Premier League. Earlier, it was made public that IPL 2020 would be played between September 19 – November 8.

The first match, a high-profile one at that, will be played between the finalists of last season, i.e., defending champions Mumbai Indians and runners-up Chennai Super Kings.

While the first match will be played in Abu Dhabi, the second and third one between Delhi Capitals and Kings XI Punjab and SunRisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore respectively will be played in Dubai.

IPL 2020 will witness only 10 double-headers – the first of which will be played on October 3. The first two weeks of the tournament will only see one match being played per day.

Speaking about the start time of IPL 2020 matches, the evening matches will start at 07:30 PM (IST). On the contrary, the afternoon matches will start at 03:30 PM (IST).

IPL 2020 schedule time-table

It is worth mentioning that the fixtures of IPL 2020 got delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic across the globe. While UAE has done comparatively better, BCCI had to consider multiple permutations and combinations before announcing the schedule.

At this point in time, BCCI has only announced the time-table for the league matches. The announcement regarding the knockout stage will be made in due course of time. Fans should further note that this schedule is subject to change especially if there’s an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases during the tournament.
