IPL 2021 auction purse remaining: What is the amount of money left with each franchise before IPL auction 2021?

IPL 2021 auction purse remaining: The SportsRush presents before you a complete list of remaining purse of each team before the auction.

The auction for the upcoming 14th season of the Indian Premier League is less than a week away now. With a Test match to be played between India and England starting from tomorrow, the auction will be upon us practically within no time.

It was only last night that BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) shortlisted as many as 292 players who will go under the hammer on February 18 in Chennai.

Out of these 292, a maximum of only 61 players can be bought. As far as the overseas slots are concerned, only 22 overseas players can be bought in this auction. Considering that IPL 2021 auction is going to be a mini-auction, these limited numbers are not at all surprising.

It is worth mentioning that each franchise has a total purse of INR 85 crore from which it has to spend a minimum of 75%, i.e., INR 63.75 crore. While teams can’t buy less than 18 players, they also can’t add more than 25 players to their squad for an IPL season.

With a whopping INR 53.2 crore under their belt, Kings XI Punjab have the highest amount of money in their purse. With an available capacity of nine players (including five overseas), expect the Lokesh Rahul-led team to bid actively in the auction.
