Being played amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, teams have already entered their respective bio-bubbles to ensure optimum safety of the players, support staff and officials.
As of now, there is no allowance of spectators inside the stadiums. Despite former India captain and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly hinting at playing a waiting game, a recent surge in COVID-19 cases throughout the country isn’t giving promising signs with respect to fans getting to watch live IPL 2021 matches.

As far as the 14th season is concerned, it will be the first one to be played in India when no team will play a league match at its home venue. IPL 2021 fixtures have been arranged in such a manner that no teams gets the home advantage especially with a limited-venue concept to ensure minimum travel due to the pandemic.
