KL Rahul wedding date: When is KL Rahul marriage with Athiya Shetty?

India cricketer KL Rahul and actor Athiya Shetty have been all over social media platforms since the time they started dating each other. Even when their relationship was mostly speculated by the media, the pair found an instant place in the hearts of their fans for they form another example of two celebrities from two of the most glamorous fields in the country developing a liking for each other.

Been dating one another for a few years now, Rahul and Shetty haven’t refrained from posting photos with each other across their social media handles. Shetty, who is the daughter of actor Suniel Shetty, has made her presence felt, both alone and with her family, inside the stadiums cheering for Rahul on numerous occasions.

Rahul, on the other hand, was pictured with the Shetty family during the premier of Athiya’s younger brother Ahan Shetty’s first movie titled ‘Tadap’ (2021).

KL Rahul wedding date

It has been since a few months that multiple rumours have been doing the rounds in the media with respect to Rahul and Shetty tying the knot with each other. Although an official announcement around the same is yet to be made, multiple media outlets have reported that the much-awaited wedding will take place in Khandala (near Mumbai) on January 23.

Contrary to the previous supposition that the two would get married after ICC T20 World Cup last year, a primary reason why the aforementioned date appears to be believable is because Rahul hasn’t been included in either of ODI or T20I squads for New Zealand series later this month due to “family commitments”.

Assuming the same to be true, the marriage will take place a day before the third India-New Zealand ODI in Indore. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see if Indian cricketers will be able to attend the function or not.

On a cricketing front, Rahul is no longer the vice-captain of India’s white-ball squads. However, the 30-year old player continues to be the vice-captain of the Test squad which will face Australia next month.
