"Check Your Facts": Athiya Shetty Rubbishes Speculations Around KL Rahul's Viral Nightclub Video

Actor Athiya Shetty, wife of India wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul, has hit out at trolls with respect to a viral video involving her husband. Doing the rounds across social media platforms since yesterday, a recent clip claims Rahul to be in a “strip club” as per some users.

In what was uploaded as just another Instagram story, it ended up bringing unnecessary worry for Rahul who is recovering from a surgery which he underwent to treat the thigh injury he suffered during the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023.

Currently in England alongside his wife, Rahul was bad-mouthed back home for paying a visit to a strip club when he was present at a place which appears more like any other club.

Having faced the brunt of fake news peddlers, Shetty eventually took to social media platform Instagram to upload a story in order to provide clarification. Shetty, who aimed at “standing up for herself” in the middle of all kinds of rumours being floated around, rubbished all such speculations.

“Rahul, I and our friends went out to a regular place, as one does. Stop taking things out of context, and check your facts before reporting,” Shetty wrote in her latest Instagram story.

KL Rahul Misses Second Half of IPL 2023

Rahul, who was injured during a home match against Royal Challengers Bangalore earlier this month, missed six out of the 15 matches which Lucknow Super Giants played in the 16th season of the IPL.

Even though the team made it to its second Eliminator in as many years, stand-in captain Krunal Pandya couldn’t lead LSG to Qualifier 2. Karun Nair, Rahul’s Karnataka teammate, was called upon as his replacement for the remainder of the season.

Meanwhile, wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan has has been ended to a 15-member Indian squad for the final match of the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship to be played at The Oval next month.
