The first match of the 52nd season of the Marsh Cup will be played tomorrow to resume domestic cricket in Australia. New South Wales and Victoria, two teams which had finished at the bottom of the points table respectively last season, will lock horns in the first match at the North Sydney Oval.
The postponement of Australia’s tour of South Africa means that Australia’s premier domestic One-Day competition will witness the presence of their Test specialists.
For starters, Australia vice-captain Pat Cummins will take the field as New South Wales’ captain on Monday. Cummins, who will be leading in competitive cricket for the first time, will have the likes of Steven Smith, Nathan Lyon and Moises Henriques playing under him.
Victoria, on the other hand, will be led by Peter Handscomb and will comprise of Test specialists such as opening batsman Marcus Harris and fast bowler James Pattinson.
In the last five One-Day matches against each other, Victoria have come three matches as compared to New South Wales’ solitary victory.

With no further international cricket scheduled for this summer, Australian fans are highly likely to take refuge in the Marsh Cup for live cricket action as the tournament will keep them entertained till April.

It is worth mentioning that both the platforms will be offering the streaming for free.

When this season of the Australian domestic cricket had commenced last year, Sony Network had streamed it in India. Given how there was a dearth of live sports at that time due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sony Network had an available slot to stream the match.
With the Australian domestic cricket set to resume after almost three months, there is no official confirmation as of now whether the Marsh Cup will be streamed on Sony LIV or not. Therefore, Indian fans are advised to check Sony LIV once tomorrow. Fans must also note that no other platform than Sony LIV will stream the Marsh Cup.
