Nabi cricket: Watch Olivier Davies smashes four sixes in Mohammad Nabi's over in BBL 10

Olivier Davies smashes four sixes: The rookie batsman from Sydney Thunder took on the attack against the veteran all-rounder.

During the 14th match of the ongoing 10th season of the Big Bash League between Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Renegades in Canberra, Sydney Thunder batsman Olivier Davies continued to impress in his maiden BBL season on the back of another big-hitting cameo.

Having scored 36 (22) in his T20 debut against Perth Scorchers, Davies has followed it up with another 48 (23) including one four and five sixes against Thunder at the Manuka Oval.

Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the seventh over, Davies had scored 18 runs on the first 17 deliveries that he faced. It was at this time that Davies took on the attack against Melbourne Renegades all-rounder Mohammed Nabi – hitting him for four consecutive sixes.

While Davies hit a couple of sixes over the mid-wicket region, he hit one over cover and over over square leg to be fair to all parts of the ground.

Facing Will Sutherland in the next over, the 20-year old batsman continued the assault on the fast-medium bowler hitting another convincing six. Just when he had enticed eyeballs towards himself for hitting a sixth consecutive six, Sutherland’s pinpoint yorker reaped fruits as he dismissed Davies before he added to the carnage.

Earlier, it was Renegades captain Aaron Finch who had won the toss and chose to field.
