National Stadium Karachi pitch report: PAK vs ENG 3rd Test pitch report of Karachi Cricket Stadium

Pakistan will take on England in the 3rd test of the 3-match series at the National Stadium in Karachi. After a flat track in Rawalpindi, the pitch in Multan was difficult for the batters. It will be interesting to see the nature of the pitch in Karachi.

None expected Pakistan to lose the series after two matches of the series, and they will play this match for respect. Babar Azam scored a brilliant century the last time he played here, and he would want to take some inspiration from that innings. The bowling of the side looks inexperienced.

England have been terrific in the series so far and their intent of scoring runs have been vital for them. James Anderson is proving that why he is one of the greatest to ever play the game, but Jack Leach needs to improve as spinners will play an important part in this match as well.

National Stadium Karachi pitch report

Karachi’s National Stadium’s track is a track that has been helpful for both batters and bowlers in the past. The last match played here was between Australia and Pakistan, it was an interesting match where Pakistan fought well in the end to secure a draw against the Aussies.

Just like any other track in Pakistan, the spinners will play an important role in deciding the fate of this match. The track in Multan spun from the very first day, but Karachi’s track can be a brilliant one for batting in the initial days before assisting the spinners later on in the match.

England’s attacking approach can help them in this match as well because you cannot defend for a longer period here as one unplayable ball will take the wicket so it is important to score runs here. On the initial days, the pacers can extract some help from the wicket due to cold weather.

The average 1st innings score here is 304 runs, whereas the average 4th innings score is just 157 runs. It is certain that the winning captain will bat first at the toss.
