Newlands Cape Town pitch report today match: Cape Town Cricket Ground pitch report of MICT vs JSK match

MI Cape Town will take on Joburg Super Kings in the 6th league match of the SA20 League at the Newlands in Cape Town. In IPL, Mumbai vs Chennai is one of the biggest rivalries, and this can turn out to be the same in South Africa as well.

After defeating Paarl Royals in the opening game, MI Cape Town lost their next match to Durban. The bowling of Cape Town is tremendous with the likes of Jofra Archer, Rashid Khan, Sam Curran and Olly Stone. However, the batting of the side has to step up in this match.

The Super Kings have won one of their two matches so far, but it has to be said that they have not played convincing cricket so far in the tournament. Faf du Plessis has to step up, and the duo of Janneman Malan and Reeza Hendricks should support him. Donavon Ferreria has been their brightest light of the tournament.

Newlands Cape Town pitch report today match

The Newlands in Cape Town has already hosted a couple of SA20 League matches so far, and it is clear that the pacers have dominated the proceedings so far. Looking at the track, it is certain that the pacers will have a big part to play in this match as well.

The express pacers such as Jofra Archer and Olly Stone will enjoy the conditions here, Stone has been terrific so far. There is a good amount of bounce and carry on this track, if the bowlers can bowl hard lengths, it will be tough for the batters to play their shots. If the batters can get set, they will be able to take advantage of the bounce.

The boundary size and the fast nature of the outfield will be helpful for the batters as well. This is a track where anything above 165 will be a really good score. Both teams would love to bowl first after winning the toss to take full use of the conditions.
