It took a couple of dropped catches and some indisciplined fielding efforts from his players for Mahendra Singh Dhoni to take matter in his own quick hands to effect a stumping of the highest order. Former Indian batter Virender Sehwag joined scores of fans and experts to praise the captain of Chennai Super Kings for his moment of individual brilliance.

During the ongoing grand finale of the 16th season of Indian Premier League at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Gujarat Titans’ openers got off to a flier. In-form Shubman Gill (39) looked like blowing away Chennai’s bowling attack after getting a reprieve in the second over itself. He was being ably assisted by Wriddhiman Saha (54) at the other end as the duo added 62 runs in the powerplay.
However, the pair of former captain Ravindra Jadeja and Dhoni combined together to get rid of the strongest Titan this season. On the last delivery of the seventh over, Jadeja managed to extract sharp turn off a length ball around the off-stump.
Gill lunged forward for the drive as the ball whizzed past his bat’s outside edge. With his foot getting dragged just outside the crease, Dhoni’s quick-as-ever hands behind the stumps disturbed the wickets in a flash.
Virender Sehwag Finds Key Difference Between MS Dhoni And 2,000 Currency Note
A nonchalant Dhoni, in his own inimitable style, was confident enough that the batter was short of his ground upon being asked by the bowler about a potential dismissal.
Sehwag, staying true to his wit and sense of humour, praised the 41-year old player by drawing a comparison between him and the 2,000 Indian currency note.
The hard-hitting batter remarked that while one will have to get their not-so-old INR 2,000 note exchanged from the banks (by September 30 this year), they will find no change in the old, vintage Dhoni and his craft from behind the wickets.
Wow ! One can change bank notes from bank but behind the wickets one cannot change MS Dhoni ! Nahi badal sakte .. As fast as ever MS Dhoni.

Gujarat Titans Finish On A High
A scintillating innings from the young southpaw batter Sai Sudharsan (96), and some final blows from skipper Hardik Pandya (21*) has helped Gujarat post a challenging total of 214/4 on the scoreboard in the night of the final.
