"Out of the park for a six": Twitter reactions on Babar Azam viral video leak drawing strict response from PCB to Fox Cricket

PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) have finally taken cognizance publicly with respect to the latest allegations put on captain Babar Azam. The Pakistani skipper has been doing the rounds in the media since yesterday after a video clip of him indulging in a video call went viral.

Azam, who appears to be shirtless in the video, is apparently se*ting a teammate’s girlfriend promising her to not drop her boyfriend. Because the short clip doesn’t comprise any audio, there’s a massive question mark around its genuineness.

In what continues to be an unverified allegation due to no further development, all it has only resulted is fans joining hands to defend Azam citing the assertion as baseless.

It was only about an hour ago that PCB joined hands with their fans to come out in support of Azam. PCB, in particular, censured Australian broadcaster Fox Cricket for publishing a story on “unsubstantiated personal allegations”.

Considering how Fox Sports is one of the media partners of the PCB, the latter didn’t consider it to be appropriate for the former to run a story on a claim which is yet to be verified. PCB’s stern response further gathered a lot of fan support for them as followers of the Pakistani cricket team appreciated the custodian of the sport in the country taking a stand.

While the recently concluded home winter season wasn’t the best for Pakistan in terms of results, their next assignment will once again witness them hosting New Zealand but after a three-month period. Unlike the latest tour, New Zealand will be playing five T20Is and as many ODIs in Pakistan in April-May.
