The Oval Cricket Ground Test Records will take centre stage as it is a designated neutral venue for the final match of the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship scheduled to be played between Australia and India tomorrow onwards. Having last hosted an international match in the form of an England-South Africa Test match nine months ago, the venue will be hosting action of the highest level for the first time this year.

One of the most oldest Test venues, it is also one of the top ground in terms of hosting maximum matches of the ancestral format. Speaking particularly of Australia, they will be playing a Test here for the first time since Ashes 2019. In fact, they will be playing an additional Test here during the subsequent Ashes 2023. In a total of 38 Tests here, the Aussies have won seven and lost 17 matches over the years.
India, on the other hand, will be playing at the Kennington Oval after a couple of years. India, who have won two but lost five out of their 14 Tests at this venue, had won their last match a couple of years ago unlike Australia. Readers must note that Australia’s last Test victory at this stadium had come eight years ago.
