Punjab Kings IPL 2021 memes: Twitter reactions and funniest memes on PBKS batting collapse vs CSK

Punjab Kings IPL 2021 memes: Punjab Kings never really got going after being asked to bat first by Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

During the eighth match of the ongoing 14th season of the Indian Premier League between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai, Punjab Kings put on display a shambolic batting performance after being asked to bat first by Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

It was Super Kings pacer Deepak Chahar who registered career-best IPL bowling figures of 4-1-13-4 to justify Dhoni’s decision of winning the toss and electing to bowl.

Bowling with the new ball as he usually does, Chahal bowled a peach of a delivery to Mayank Agarwal (0) to draw first blood in the first over itself. What followed was Kings captain Lokesh Rahul being found wanting against Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja’s direct-hit in the third over.

In his third over, Chahar sent back the West Indian duo of Chris Gayle (10) and Nicholas Pooran (0) within a span of three deliveries to further dent the opposition at the Wankhede Stadium.

With Dhoni opting to bowl out Chahar, the 28-year old player once again stood tall on the trust of his captain as by dismissing the in-form Deepak Hooda (10) as Punjab were left reeling at 26/5 in the seventh over.

The optimist in him is waiting for the day when Punjab Kings will win their maiden Indian Premier League title.
