It is that time of the year again when all cricket enthusiasts in India will willingly go through as many as 19 scorecards by the end of the day to see how hundreds of players performed in the prestigious Ranji Trophy.

The 88th edition of India’s esteemed first-class competition will be played across numerous venues where all 38 teams will be participating after being divided into five groups. In addition to four Elite Groups comprising of eight teams each, a Plate Group comprising of six teams has also been arranged in another rejig to the tournament.

Speaking of modifications, the home-away format has returned yet again to become a source of amazement for both players and local fans. In what is going to be the first Ranji season post COVID-19 pandemic, it has it in it to make fans nostalgic with respect to watching players of their home teams play live.
The matches to look forward in the first round are Bengal vs Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra vs Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir vs Madhya Pradesh (defending champions) and Hyderabad vs Tamil Nadu.
Ranji Trophy 2022 Live Telecast Channel in India
The tried and tested Star Sports Network will be broadcasting Ranji Trophy 2022-23 in India. Star Sports 2/2 HD are the two channels designated by the network for this tournament.
Having said that, readers must note that only a very few selected matches of this first-class tournament will be televised on the aforementioned channels. For example, Hyderabad vs Tamil Nadu (in Hyderabad) will be the only match to be televised in the first round.
On the contrary, streaming platform Disney+Hotstar might be live streaming a match or two more than the one being televised. However, no official update has been provided with respect to the same till now.
