Ravi Ashwin run-out: The Indian spinner was found wanting while running between the wickets at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

During the third day of third Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia in Sydney, India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was severely criticized for his dismal running between the wickets which led to his dismissal.
It all happened on the second delivery of the 93rd over when India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja hit a Cameron Green delivery towards mid-off and instantly called for a single.

In what should’ve been an easy single for both the batsmen, Ashwin’s sluggish work resulted in his departure. Never looking like completing the single successfully, Ashwin not diving or making a desperate effort further worked against him even when it wasn’t a direct-hit by Australia vice-captain Pat Cummins.

Coming in to bat at No. 8 in the 89th over, Ashwin walked back to the pavilion after scoring 10 (15) with the help of two fours as India lost their fourth wicket in the second session today.
What was all the more disappointing from an Indian point of view was that batsman Hanuma Vihari also gifted his wicket in the form of a run-out this morning.
Trailing by more than 100 runs in the first innings, the visitors are surely on the back foot in the match until Jadeja plays a blinder of an knock.
