India batter Ruturaj Gaikwad is set to get married to his fiancee Utkarsha Pawar. This news came as a surprise as there were no hints about the same whatsoever. Both of them were pictured together once in the gym last year.

Gaikwad comes from a very humble family background and both his parents are settled in their respective professions. He does not have any siblings. The right-handed batter made his Indian Premier League debut for Chennai Super Kings, and he once revealed that his mother could not even believe it before his friends came with a cake to his house.
It is to be noted that Gaikwad is not related to former Indian cricketer Anshuman Gaekwad. Gaikwad is currently in the middle of a brilliant IPL season with Chennai. After a rough IPL season last year, the batter from Maharashtra has made a brilliant comeback this season. Before tying the knot with Utkarsha, he would want to lift the IPL trophy for the second time in his career.
Ruturaj Gaikwad Marriage Date
According to ESPNCricinfo, Gaikwad will get married on June 3, 2023. There is not much information about Utkarsha in the public domain. However, according to rumours, she is a cricketer as well and represents Maharashtra in domestic cricket.
Utkarsha’s full name is said to be Utkarsha Amar Pawar. She was born in 1998 in Pune and is a pace bowler. There is no information about her family as of now. Both Gaikwad and Pawar are said to be in a relationship for the last two years.
Akin quite a few cricketers, Gaikwad’s name had also been linked with an actresses in the past. Once it was rumoured that he was dating Marathi actress Sayali Sanjeev. Gaikwad had once commented a heart emoji on Sanjeev’s Instagram post.
Yashasvi Jaiswal Replaces Ruturaj Gaikwad in World Test Championship
Gaikwad was among the three reserve players in the Indian squad for ICC World Test Championship Final against Australia next month. He has now been replaced by an uncapped player in Yashasvi Jaiswal. Been in a magnificent form during IPL 2023, Jaiswal possesses excellent first class numbers as well. He has scored 1,845 runs at an average of 80.21 with the help of two centuries and nine half-centuries.
Mumbai’s batter Sarfaraz Khan was another in-form candidate, but he is a middle-order batter. BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) have opted to replace Gaikwad with an opener only.
