India T20I squad for India Tour: Rohit Sharma returns, Sanju Samson dropped for the shortest format against the Black Caps later this month.
India will travel to New Zealand later this month for a 6-week tour where they will take part in T20I’s, ODI’s and Test matches. The tour will begin on the 24th of this month with the first of the 5 match T20I’s between the two sides.
BCCI have announced the 16 men who will travel to the country and lead India’s charge in the shortest format of the game. Rohit Sharma makes an expected return to the side while Sanju Samson has been surprisingly dropped from the side.
Mohammed Shami has also rejoined the squad while Jasprit Bumrah who made a return in the T20I’s against Sri Lanka retains his place. Hardik Pandya was expected to make a return to the team. However, his failure to clear the mandatory fitness has resulted in more time on the sidelines for the all-rounder.
