WATCH: Krunal Pandya Bowls Dream Deliveries To Dismiss Aiden Markram And Glenn Phillips on Consecutive Balls

Lucknow Super Giants captain Krunal Pandya bowled a game-changing over in Indian Premier League 2023 Match 58 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium today. In what was only his second over of the match, Pandya dismissed a couple of overseas batters just when the hosts had appeared to find their groove in the middle overs.

It all happened on the first delivery of the 13th over when Pandya bamboozled SRH captain Aiden Markram (28). A ball which pitched on the leg-stump turned enough to beat the right-handed batter all ends up. An off-balance Markram was completely opened up by the turn on the ball to be in no position to defend the ball. The remaining formality was completely behind the stumps by wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock.

Sunrisers batter Glenn Phillips (0), who had smashed three sixes in a row in a match-winning effort against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Sunday, lasted only a delivery to become Pandya’s second victim. A similar delivery which respect to pace and turn, this one pitched on the middle-stump to open another right-handed batter before hitting the off-stump.

It is noteworthy that not only the batters but even Pandya put on display an expression describing utter astonishment upon bowling a couple of unplayable deliveries in a T20. It is noteworthy that Pandya’s teammate Marcus Stoinis was left flabbergasted by a similar Ravindra Jadeja delivery last week.

Pandya, who bowled his quota of four overs, registered bowling figures of 4-0-24-2 to be the pick of LSG’s bowlers on a Saturday afternoon. Apart from him, four other teammates dismissed a batter each as the visitors restricted Sunrisers to 182/6 in 20 overs after Markram won the toss and chose to bat.
