Weather in Southampton today: Will any play happen on Day 3 of ENG vs PAK Ageas Bowl Test?

Weather in Southampton today: The SportsRush presents for you the detailed weather prediction for the second ENG vs PAK Test.

On the eve of the ongoing second Test between England and Pakistan in Southampton, there were chances that the rain gods would interfere on multiple occasions in the next five days. While these rain breaks were expected to be few and far in nature, it hasn’t happened as only 86 overs have been bowled till the seventh session of the match.

Incessant rain in Southampton in the last three days meant that players frequently moved to and fro with respect to the dressing room and the ground. On Day 3, the weather hasn’t allowed players to come out for a single delivery.

It is due to the same reason that lunch has already been taken in the hope that the conditions will improve as the day progresses.

Even if rain stops, another significant concern would be of light for it has already seen players returning back to the pavilions before time. Given the amount of rain in the last three days, one doesn’t bright sunlight to be on display all of a sudden.

Pakistan, who had won the toss on Day 1, are batting on 223/9 in 86 overs. If the play begins today, the English bowlers would be eager to quickly bowl out the opposition to give their batsman a chance of posting a formidable total on the board.
