Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium pitch report: India vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI Chattogram stadium pitch batting or bowling

Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium will be hosting the 3rd ODI of the 3-match series between India and Bangladesh tomorrow. The first two matches were played in Mirpur, and it will be interesting to see what kind of track will be waiting for both teams in Chattogram.

It is a golden chance for Bangladesh to complete a whitewash over India. After a struggling campaign in the T20 World Cup, the Bangla tigers have bounced back well in the ODIs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz is in the form of his life, and Shakib al Hasan will again be a big threat here.

India will miss the services of Rohit Sharma, whereas Deepak Chahar is also set to be ruled out for the game. The performance of the Indian batters has been poor, whereas the bowlers have also been unable to take advantage of the starts they have got in this series.

After a couple of games in Mirpur, the third match will be played in Chattogram, and a fresh pitch is expected for the same. Just like any other wicket in Bangladesh, this is also a track where the spinners will enjoy bowling, and the batters will struggle to get their rhythm.

The average 1st innings ODI score at this ground is just 216 runs, which proves that the batters have certainly struggled here. The powerplay overs are going to be the best overs to score runs for the batting teams. In the initial overs, the pacers can get some movement.

Bangladesh and Afghanistan played an ODI earlier this year at this stadium, where Bangladesh were bowled out for just 192 runs. The Afghan spin duo of Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi was excellent in that match. Both India and Bangladesh can go spin-heavy in this match.

The dew factor will be crucial in this match as well in the last 2 hours of the match, but batting first also won’t be a bad idea as the initial overs will be the best to bat on this track.
