Cristiano Ronaldo: Toni Kroos says Ronaldo transfer to Juventus made everyone happy at Real Madrid, as the Portuguese wanted a new challenge.
Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid in a surprising move to Juventus last summer. However, the Portuguese International was giving hints of departure before it happened.
In a surprising update, Toni Kroos revealed to SportBild as per the Mirror that Los Blancos’ squad were happy for Ronaldo for his new adventure, as the transfer was a correct decision for Ronaldo.
“It would be strange if you didn’t miss someone like Cristiano Ronaldo, who has decided so many matches with his goals,” Kroos said. His transfer, however, made everyone happy. He wanted a new experience and Real Madrid earned a lot of money.”
The Portuguese International served the Spanish club for 10 years, before making a move out to Juventus. Meanwhile, Real Madrid were enormously benefited throughout the tenure of Ronaldo, as he amassed staggering 450 goals in 438 appearances in all competitions, which enabled Los Merengues to win four champions league titles and two La Ligas in 10 years.
Additionally, even at the age of 33, the Portuguese International managed to obtain €100 million for Real Madrid during his transfer to Juventus. Thus, the Spanish giants surely gained more than what they invested in him.
On the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo needed a challenge abroad, plus he was not happy with the hierarchy at Real Madrid, and hence, he applied a move out of Spain.
This statement by Toni Kroos surely signals the tensions there were between the club administration and Ronaldo, which probably effected the dressing room too. Ronaldo is now playing a crucial role in Juventus’ pursuit for the Champions league.

He does realize that they finished a lot of points behind Barcelona in La Liga final standings and that they were eliminated from the Champions League early in the knockout stages. So in what aspect did that benefit the team? https://t.co/KwB2vmKy72

Lol, the state of this headline. Kroos quite clearly says that they’ve missed Ronaldo’s presence but his move satisfied all involved. Ronaldo was granted his desired exit and Real made a profit on a player they signed a decade ago who is now 34. Fuckwits. https://t.co/tUfHolJg2c

What’s next?
Real Madrid will leave for the pre-season tour and will face Kroos’ ex-club Bayern Munich during the tour first.
