It is also being reported that the former batsman may be snubbed for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League which is scheduled to begin on April 15th. Speaking of which, IPL side CSK seem to be elated at the decision, evident by the cheeky dig they took at Manjrekar on twitter earlier in the day.
CSK take a dig at Sanjay Manjrekar following his removal from the BCCI commentary panel
During the world cup 2019, Sanjay Manjrekar infamously referred to Indian player Ravindra Jadeja as a ‘bits and pieces’ player. Jadeja took grave offence to the comment and made it known to Manjrekar. He then followed it up with an amazing performance in the Semi-final against India.
CSK have bought up the infamous comment to describe Manjrekar’s own commentary in a twist of fate.
“Need not hear the audio feed in bits and pieces anymore,” CSK tweeted.

Manjrekar did himself no favours when he had an on air spat with Harsha Bhogle during the historic day night test. Bhogle suggested that the players need to be queried about the visibility of the ball. However, Manjrekar ranted about having more knowledge of the game due to playing the game at the highest level instead of having a level headed conversation with the composed Bhogle.
The former India player did apologize for his unprofessionalism. However, his removal from the commentary panel suggests that the damage was already done.
