CSK vs KXIP Match Prediction

CSK vs KXIP Match Prediction: The Sportsrush presents before you the Match Prediction of 18th match of IPL 2019.

The 18th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kings XI Punjab at Chennai. Having won both their home season in this season so far, CSK would be wanting to continue the winning momentum at Chepauk especially after registering their maiden IPL 2019 loss against Mumbai Indians.

On the other hand, coming on the back of winning three consecutive matches, Kings XI Punjab would face a difficult challenge in sneaking past a victory against Chennai in Chennai. With both teams at six points, the winner of the match will reach the top of the points table.

CSK vs KXIP – What numbers suggest?

Out of the 20 matches which both the teams have played against each other so far, Super Kings have won 12 as compared to Kings XI’s eight victories. Talking about the five matches played at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, CSK have won three as compared to KXIP’s two victories.

Other than matches played against each other, Chennai Super Kings also lead the numbers when it comes to average runs scored against each other. While Super Kings have an average score of 170 against Kings XI, the visitors have an average sore of 161 against CSK.

CSK vs KXIP – Paper value

On the eve of the match, Super Kings have received a major blow in the form of veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo being ruled out for two weeks. The development has it in it to force the hosts make at least a couple of changes to their playing XI.

While only time will tell if captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be able to yield a result in the affirmative in the absence of his premier death overs bowler, Punjab’s praiseworthy man management and them being proactive has worked really well for them.

Despite past numbers not going in their favour, they appear to be the favourites ahead of the clash of the “Kings”.
