Virender Sehwag urges the Indian team

Virender Sehwag urges the Indian team: The former Indian opening batsman wants the Indian team to bounce back in the ODI series.

In a pre-series advertisement video for broadcaster Star Sports, former India opening batsman Virender Sehwag was witnessed babysitting numerous Australian kids. Referring to the hilarious babysitting episode during India’s tour of Australia earlier this year, Sehwag had warned the visitors of the same in this series.

Contrary to what Sehwag said and predicted for the series, Australia ended up whitewashing India 2-0 in the T20I series. While the Australian bowlers outdid the Indian batsmen in the first match, all-rounder Glenn Maxwell’s third T20I century aided them to defeat India in the second match.

“Australia outplayed us in all departments and deserved to win. 190 is a good total on most grounds but if there is so much dew as there was tonight and when you have an innings like what Glenn Maxwell played, nothing much you can do,” India captain Virat Kohli was quoted as saying.

Having seen the outcome of the T20I series, Sehwag has now warned the Indian team to be more careful ahead of the ODI series. In another well-thought out advertising video, the 40-year old is seen feeling let down by the players’ below par performance in the T20I series.

“Bhai kya kar rahe ho tum log yaar? Maine itne ad mein bol diya ki hum log babysitting karenge. Aur tum? Bhai dekh lo, marwa mat dena yaar (What are you guys doing?  I have said in so many ads that we will babysit but look at you. Be careful. Don’t let me down),” Sehwag was quoted as saying.
