CSK’s probable XI to face RCB
CSK will be looking to continue their good form when they take on the Royal Challengers from Bengaluru. Both sides are coming off wins, which is why this match is expected to be one hell of a contest.
Both Dhoni and Kohli will be looking to lead from the front, as two of Indian cricket’s most iconic personalities will be in action at the Chinnaswamy tonight.
Here is the possible lineup for CSK!
OPENERS:
Shane Watson
Shane Watson has performed decently in the four matches he has played so far. Watson is a definite choice in the Playing XI and he will open the innings along with Rayadu.
Watson will be especially keen on performing well in front of his old side.
Ambati Rayadu
Ambati Rayudu has been the perfect foil to Watson in the power play overs where he rotates the strike and keeps the scoreboard ticking, his main role would be to allow big hitters to perform around him.
After a superb knock against the Sunrisers, Rayadu will be keen to continue his good form with the bat.
MIDDLE ORDER:
Suresh Raina
Suresh Raina was back after missing his first CSK game in god knows how many years. The CSK legend has looked in decent form and will hope to make it count tonight.
MS Dhoni (Captain)
MSD was dismissed early on in the last match in search of quick runs,he will continue to play in the middle order for his team.
Sam Billings
Billings was dismissed early on in the last match in search of quick runs,he will continue to finish off the innings in the depth overs for the team.
ALL-ROUNDERS:
Ravindra Jadeja
He did not have much to do in the match last time around,it is quite a mystery why he isn’t bowling more in the tournament, which is worrying for the Indian team with the tour of England Coming up.
Dwayne Bravo
Bravo bowled a good final over to finish the game off for CSK last time around, and his form with the ball will be huge for Chennai this year. n
BOWLERS:
Karn Sharma
He replaced Harbhajan singh in his last match and picked up 2 wickets in just 1.3 overs, with that performance he will continue to keep his place in the team.
Imran Tahir
Imran Tahir has performed well with the ball by picking up vital wickets during the match and breaking the flow of the opposition.
Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar was phenomenal in the last match swinging the ball and giving all sorts of problems to the batters. Dhoni will hope he continues that form this season.
Shardul Thakur
Thakur has been quite expensive till the last match, but the Hyderabad pitch suited the youngster with a bit of swing and thus picking up the crucial wickets in the early overs. He will look to continue with his good form allowing MSD to play two indian fast bowlers.
